Tom Pooks & Sebass have met each other in the darkness of southern France’s best clubs back in the 90s. They never lost contact and always kept in touch while building their respective legacies within the electronic music scene. In 2023, they came to a new alliance while gravitating around the Awesome Soundwave’s whole crew. Having Carl Cox as his master mind for always, Tom Pooks approved the king’s recent switch from deejaying to live performing and he immediately challenged his long-time friend to follow this path. Thanks to Sebass’s knowledge when it comes to live electronic music and studio engineering, they quickly built Harmonik Kontrol, their new musical alias. Premiered on Family Piknik Festival’s main stage in August of 2023, this live performance got to impress by its rare fluidity. A techno energy melt with emotional harmonies and healing frequencies. A fusion between Sebass’s orchestral melodic vision and Tom Pooks’s love for contagious grooves. A perfectly balanced trip through dubby influences and catchy drops, laying these two skilled artists to a satisfying crowd control. A shared state of mind and a clear vision of where techno music should lead the dancefloors to, with a futuristic approach deeply fed by three decades of club culture. With a first studio album expected to land in 2024 on Awesome Soundwave, the HarmoniK Kontrol magic will strike on a few selected stages through the upcoming months.
